Translator for LLM agents
Your agent can operate the video workflow.
Installed Translator 1.16.16+ includes packaged MCP tools. Toggle Settings → Agent Control → Allow agent control, allowlist write folders, and your LLM agent can download videos, transcribe, translate, and export SRT or burned-in video through the same desktop app you already use.

Enable Agent Control in the installed app.
Download and install Translator 1.16.16+. Open Settings → Agent Control → Allow agent control, allowlist write folders, and connect your MCP host to the packaged socket. The interface runs locally; there is no public remote Translator MCP endpoint.
1. Install Translator 1.16.16+
Download the finished app for your platform (macOS or Windows).
2. Enable Agent Control
Open Settings → Agent Control → Allow agent control. Allowlist the folders your agent can write to.
3. Connect your MCP host
The packaged MCP socket appears at launch (if already enabled) or after toggling and relaunch. Configure your MCP host to connect to it.
Agent Control is off by default (kill switch). The socket uses local stdio; there is no public remote Translator MCP endpoint. For developers: the source-build path (npm run agent:mcp from the cloned repository) remains available as an optional developer path.
What it can do
Real controls, not screen guessing.
The tools have named inputs and structured results. An agent does not need to hunt through the interface or depend on where a button happens to be today.
Control the viewing workspace
Open videos and SRT files, switch between original, translation, or dual subtitles, choose Default, Classic, Boxed, or LineBox styling, and move to any app page the user asks to see.
Translate and review subtitles
Work through SRT files in context-preserving batches, edit translations by stable cue ID, and export source, translated, or dual-language SRT files.
Manage the app safely
Inspect or change Settings without revealing saved provider keys. An agent can open a Stage5 checkout page, but the user must enter and submit payment details.
Deliberate boundaries
The user stays in control.
Translator gives the agent useful controls without handing it payment details, stored secrets, or invisible authority.
- 01File-writing and network actions remain visible to the MCP host and should keep its normal approval controls.
- 02The agent never reads stored API keys. An agent can open the right checkout page, but the user must enter and submit payment details.
- 03Billing is the same as the UI (Stage5 credits or your configured BYO API keys). MCP does not force a credit spend and is not a sidecar OpenAI/Anthropic API.
